Topographia is led by Director Luke Taylor, whose path into architecture came through fine arts, carpentry and hospitality before formal practice — grounding the studio in a hands-on understanding of how buildings are made and lived in. Each project begins by focusing people who will inhabit it, the site context, the site environment, and the light. Working across Ballarat, the Surf Coast and Melbourne, Topographia designs new homes, renovations and additions that respond to person and place rather than repeating a fixed style — architecture built for permanence, and for environmental and personal sustainability.
